"Resilience Means Standing Tall After Falling Down" Episode 49

• Don Fessenden • Season 1 • Episode 49

"Hey there, my fur-tastic friends! 🐾 Welcome back to The Monkey the Cat Podcast! I’m Monkey, your favorite talking cat, and today’s episode is about something we all go through—falling down. Not just tripping or slipping (although I’ve done plenty of that), but falling down in life. Making mistakes. Feeling disappointed.

Our lesson today? Resilience means standing tall after falling down.

It’s not about never failing. It’s about getting back up—with a stronger heart, a smarter brain, and maybe a bandage or two. Let me tell you about the time I fell hard… and found out how strong I really was."

"Hey there, my fur-tastic friends! Welcome back to The Monkey the Cat Podcast! I’m Monkey, your favorite talking cat, and today’s episode is about something we all go through—falling down. Not just tripping or slipping(although I’ve done plenty of that), but falling down in life. Making mistakes. Feeling disappointed. Our lesson today? Resilience means standing tall after falling down. It’s not about never failing. It’s about getting back up—with a stronger heart, a smarter brain, and maybe a bandage or two. Let me tell you about the time I fell hard… and found out how strong I really was.""It was Field Day in the backyard—our big competition of the year. Teddy was the judge. Brooklyn was pumped. Olivff brought a clipboard and snacks(of course). The final event? The Jump Slide Challenge. The winner? Gets the golden chew toy trophy. I lined up, tail twitching. Ran full speed. Jumped— And... SPLAT! Missed the landing. Fell face-first into the mud. The crowd gasped. Max dropped his juice box. Olivf dropped her pen. I dropped my pride. I wanted to quit. Walk away. Hide behind the snack table. But then Dad—knelt beside me and said,‘Monkey, resilience isn’t about perfect jumps. It’s about getting back up, brushing off the dirt, and trying again.’""So I stood up. Wiped the mud from my nose. I took a breath. I smiled. And I tried again. This time I didn’t win the trophy. But I finished strong. And I held my head high. Brooklyn barked,‘That was awesome!’ Teddy wagged and said,‘Now that’s a champion.’ Olivff handed me a juice box.‘For effort. And a very muddy comeback.’ That’s when I realized: Resilience isn’t about winning. It’s about refusing to give up. Every fall is just one more chance to rise." What We Learned Today🔹Everyone falls—it’s getting up that builds strength.🔹Resilience means you keep going, even when it’s tough.🔹Being brave doesn’t mean being perfect—it means trying again.🔹Each stumble is a step toward becoming tougher, wiser, and prouder."So here’s my challenge for YOU today: Think of a time you fell—then remember how you got back up.✅Did you try again on a hard task?✅Did you say'sorry' after a mistake?✅Did you keep going even when it wasn’t easy? Because that—right there—is resilience. Thanks for tuning in to The Monkey the Cat Podcast!
